Hi, my nearly 5 years old daughter is due a renewal of her UK passport soon. I've filled in all the forms and copied all the relevant documents and was wondering if she has to accompany me when I hand them in at Vfs, Trendy House?

No, I did both my sons without them attending. I even dropped of my mates renewal for his daughter another time. This was 3 years ago mind you, cant see it changing but best to check the small print.

Whilst applications have to be deposited in person, rather than online, it can actually be by any person, that’s why agents are allowed to deposit applications.

 

So sungods experience is still current, your daughter doesn’t need to attend.
