  • Hat's off to the scientists who invented the vaccine.   Roll-out was quite well managed. But let's not forget Johnson's cavalier attitude towards Covid before his own brush with death.

The UK is divided as the people who live there no longer seem to be able to accept the result of democratic votes that do not go their way.   The Scots do not accept the result of the independence ref

  • Thanks for the hard work Boris. Great job on Brexit and the vaccine rollout.    Whose next? For me it has to Truss, Mogg or Raab. I'd like to see The Moggster get it. A true Conservative.

C'mon, you are not THAT naïve surely?

If you think that the police are more beholden to the leader of the opposition than to the leader of the government that is in charge of them and provides the vast majority of their funding, then I don't think I'm the naive one.

I’m not sure how you conclude what Tory plans are for the replacement PM.

Candidates put themselves forward, each needs at least 20 Tory MP nominators and only after the Parliamentary Party whittle down the field do the rank and file party members get their say.

Every single candidate has already been elected to office by Tory voters.

But I do agree, the Tories are facing a tough challenge at the next election.

Inflation, cost of living crisis, NHS,  Policing, law and order, energy prices, Public Transport, Welfare and Care services, housing and homelessness, collapse in consumer confidence and the continuing problems caused by Brexit.

Whoever gets the post, they need to start dealing with the problems ordinary voters are facing.

This is going to be difficult with such clear divisions in the Tory party and no Candidate for PM covers the gaping divide between the ERG and the rest.

A: I don’t.

B: None of the candidates standing is from Pakistan. They are all british. To say otherwise is bigotry in action.

You have to remember that MM has been a supporter of that criminal Boris all along so hence anybody that condones such behaviour will, just like Boris, come up with all sorts of incorrect or even downright imaginative replies to support that outgoing liar. However when you think of all those who supported Boris now throwing their hats into the ring for the PMs job will this make any difference to the country ? I doubt it as replacing one crook with another from his gang will just be more of the same unfortunately. Ben Wallace has decided it is not for him and Penny Mordant as yet has not declared whether she is running and they are the only two who are honourable enough to hold that position IMHO. As for the rest well more heartbreak for the country I'm afraid irrespective of who wins the race.

Well I am glad that Penny Mordant is in the running and according to the bookies, then as of now neck and neck with Sunak. Now of course the MPs could get together to ensure she does not reach the final two but hopefully that will not be the case and once it goes to rank and file Tories to vote I have no doubt she will win quite resoundingly. As I said before she at least is an honorable one compared to many of the others.

Well soon after getting elected by a big majority with the pandemic costs and now supporting costs of consumer bills and funding a war instead of your own population what do you expect him to do go to the money tree forest.

As I've explained in a previous post. On more than one occasion, when questioned on the effect of the Pandemic, Johnson said it was business as usual and his projects would continue.  If he'd said things would have to be re-visited, I'm sure most people would have understood but Boris being Boris, he lied again.  The Northern section of HS2 has already been postponed, as has the upgrading of rail links between several major Northern cities. More relevantly, there's about as much chance of 40 new hospitals being built before 2030 as there is of the sky falling in.

Given that these matters were manifesto pledges - the reasons many voted Conservative, I expect them to be fulfilled. I think that all politicians, regardless of their flavour should be hauled over the coals for reneging on election promises - its a form of deception.

Johson seem to think that if he says something, its done and he can move on. The fact that it never gets done is irrelevant to him - we're all expected to believe its so.

So in answer to your question - I expect him, and any other politician to abide by what they say.

A quick websearch and you can find out that progress is under way in building new hospitals

Have you checked how many of those were in the 40 new projects he promised, how many were already underway and how many of the ones you refer to are actually underway - not just at the planning stage?

Believe me, he is not delivering on his promises.

From 2020

"Given the scale of spending needed to support the economy, chancellor Rishi Sunak has said he will set out new fiscal rules to replace those from the 2019 manifesto. The existing rules belong to a pre-pandemic era and the government is unlikely to be criticised for ditching them"

https://www.instituteforgovernment.org.uk/blog/even-pandemic-delivering-manifestos-still-matters

We are talking about Boris's promises.  I know what I heard him say but I'm not prepared to spend hours searching for footage.  If you choose to disagree that's up to you.

I also heard him say there were no parties and no rules were broken. Then there's the one about him not knowing a minister he promoted had groped other ministers when he promoted him.  That's just 2 lies - he's made a career of lying since way before he was prime minister.

When you're Googling for information to come back at me with - take a little time to also do a search for 'Boris Johnson, Lies'.

Correct, I didn't say that, I don't think that - but good effort at trying to put words in my mouth.

When you say a politician should abide by what they say.

It reminds me of a quote made by someone who I forget.

" When things go wrong how can anyone believe what any politician says when you know if you were in his place you would lie ".

It’s not a fail.

It forced the Tories to back a PM the nation wants rid of.

It’s going to make good campaign fodder as even more dirt on Johnson comes out.

Atheism: I don't believe this shit

Now look chap's, it doesn't matter what you anti-Tory folk say, Boris is still in control of the country, the vote of confidence fail put another dent in Labours socialist  ego..

It seems Labour are champing at the bit because Boris has been put on the shelf, but what Labour do not realise is that his replacement will bring a breath of fresh air back into the Tory Party for the electorate, remember, they showed in supporting the blues at the last general election.

And to be fair, the opposition do not have a clue, just watch this vid, oh and just look who is on the front bench in the intro, classic....????
