  • Hat's off to the scientists who invented the vaccine.   Roll-out was quite well managed. But let's not forget Johnson's cavalier attitude towards Covid before his own brush with death.

The UK is divided as the people who live there no longer seem to be able to accept the result of democratic votes that do not go their way.   The Scots do not accept the result of the independence ref

  • Thanks for the hard work Boris. Great job on Brexit and the vaccine rollout.    Whose next? For me it has to Truss, Mogg or Raab. I'd like to see The Moggster get it. A true Conservative.

I don't know and you don't know. However the security services are concerned about something to do with him, which is why they advised Johnson against granting him a peerage, which Johnson ignored.

No, I don't know anything about the guy, and neither do you to jump to conclusions.

We also don't know the guy's history to get an award, but you just jumped on the hang 'em high bandwagon to have a pop at Boris.

Just socialist waffle....Again...????

So just like me, I take it you feel there should be a full inquiry as to the nature of the relationship between Johnson and the Lebedevs? The security services are concerned about something, after all.

So that's a 'No', then. And we all know why.

That's a "NO" for what...?

And who is we......Get a grip man, Boris is moving on, that's the thread, I suggest you buy a blond haired doll and stick pins in it.....????

I'll ask again:

It is a binary question. Just a 'Yes' or a 'No' is required, thanks.

No, if there was some sort of risk we would have heard about non-stop, so where is all the fuss that YOU portray.......?

Go for it.....????

From whom would we have heard from if there was any kind of risk? Certainly the security services have their concerns.

You may not know this, but Boris has been around for a very long time, even London Mare, so I am quite sure the populace knew what they were voting for, and another thing not to forget, Boris called a general election a couple of years back, where even Labour supporters moved camp to provide a resounding win for the Blues led by Boris.

I find it strange that Socialists conveniently forget that stuff... ????

and because all of it that should make him smarter or it went the wrong way, it appears it all went  backwards 555

I am off out now, it will give you time to find something in the removal of Boris as PM revolving around the son of a KGB agent.

Not from last year, since the Tory's decided to retire Boris...Take your time, I would like to read it.

See you tomorrow.....????

Shame to see Kemi out of the race. Would have liked to see her win.

Looks more and more like Rishi. I'm hoping for Truss now. But all 3 are infinitely better than Starmer.

Boris was outed for all the goings on partygate etc which Sunak and Truss was more mixed up in than Penny so surely it would make sense to for her to be PM and she picked Sunak as financial minister whatever it's called got that Tom geezer that everyone seems to like as deputy PM, I  feel that would keep most Tory voters an swing voters the happiest.

100% agree and hope it works out like that.

My own opinion is that any change of Prime Minister after an election should mandate that a general elections should be called within 6 months of the new Prime Minister taking office.

That would allow time for the new person to nominate the cabinet, set out the agenda and to start work

During a general election campaign you have the chance to vote for the party, and the person nominated in charge of that party who would become prime minister

In this case the voters are 160,000 conservatives

What you are describing is a republic, the UK is a parliamentary democracy. The incumbent PM has nothing to do with general elections. The advantage of the current system is that the PM can be changed easily.

Actually - it is in no way a republican change that I am advocating - as I am still advocating that the PM is the nominated head of the party forming the government - major difference

The UK has changed the process for calling a general election twice in the past few years - once to a fixed-term and then back again - so the process can be defined in law by a majority in parliament

Probably similar to Australia, an election can be called early anytime the PM wants to. I'm in favour of fixed terms unless supply is lost.

I would agree with you on the fixed terms

The difference is that AUS has a written constitution but the UK does not so these types of constitutional processes can be changed all the time

Much superior to a constitution in my opinion. A document written 120 years ago can only be changed on a referendum with a 2/3 majority - what a joke.
