BREAKING NEWS ! Boris Johnson to resign as Prime Minister

I would have hoped that having had the Premiership unceremoniously ripped away from him by his own MPs, Johnson would, at least, now be able to act in a relatively normal manner now that he is free from the stress of trying to save his job. 

 

Sadly, based on today's PM Questions, his sacking seems to have pushed him over the edge. He called Starmer "Captain Crash-a-roony Snooze Fest". Nope, me neither.

That's what it means when the police say that after conducting an investigation that was described as "thorough, detailed and proportionate" they "concluded that there is no case to answer...."

 

This is of course, in complete contrast to the actions of Boris and his minions at Number 10 where after a similarly thorough investigation a total of 126 fixed penalty notices were issued.

I reckon that if the panel that fined Boris investigated beer Kier, there would probably have been a far different outcome....

But they didn't. The UK is still blessed with not having a national police force.

He's still PM and planned on hanging on till October until his cronies suddenly had a dose of realism, hastily rewrote the rules (as they do) so they can toss out this waste of skin by September.

Correct, but Johnson had already made misleading statements to Parliament, ensuring this was no long simply a matter of breaking the isolation laws/regulations.

 

Photographs showing Starmer’s activities that at the time the photos were taken were not breaking any laws or regulations.

 

 

No matter how unequivocally  precise and simple the police conclusion of their second investigation is, it still can’t get through to some.

To win the PM post the candidates must attract the vote of the rank and file members of the Conservative Party, who are predominantly old, white, reactionary and relatively affluent.

 

They are not in any sense representative of the voting population as a whole.

 

Tge next election will be won on policies that address the concerns of ordinary ‘floating’ voters.

 

I’m not hearing anything from any candidate that addresses the Taft of problems the UK population is facing.
