Purdey Posted July 10, 2022 Posted July 10, 2022 The government wants tourists to come whatever the number of cases. It isn't politics but economics. Let's see if the cases reported rises, then what happens to tourism. Personally, I believe the country needs to push industry and technology so that tourism becomes a smaller fraction of the economy. For that to happen, education needs to improve. 2
Reposed Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 In a followup story, Pitutecha contacted the AP again this morning as he only got 14 minutes of fame yesterday.... 1 1
JimHuaHin Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 As most of us arw aware, there are two types of COVID-19 tests available in Thailand - (i) Antigen Test Kit (ATK) or Rapid Antigen Test, and (ii) Real Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR). Although the Ministry of Public Health reports positive results on both tests, only RT-PCR positive results are counted, for memory.

I think the problem with reporting the disease is that the government (local, regional and central) take over your life.....force you into hospitals at enormous expense etc. 2 1
Stargeezr Posted July 11, 2022 Posted July 11, 2022 Is this guy on drugs? What people who did not have any symptoms, wopuld report to anyone about having COVID, if they did not know they had it? His math sure does not add up in my books. 1
