Damn this one crept up on me.

Fortunately I have loads of Beer, Weed and Vodka stocked up but I'll definitely be out getting smashed tonight to show my support for the local economy.

Rhetorically inspired bans that no one pays attention to.

Just going through the motions.

We’re on holiday and just popped to the supermarket to stock up on some supplies….

I fancy a G&T this evening so figured I’d get a bottle of Tanqueray….
…No issues with ‘oh bo!!ox its 3pm, we can’t’….

… No issues with ‘oh bo!!ox it’s a religious holiday, we can’t’….

We’re not in Thailand, Qatar or any other country with pathetic nonsensical and puritanical booze rules….

Because both days are major holidays in the Buddhist calendar, the sale of alcohol is prohibited at all bars, restaurants, hotels, convenience stores and supermarkets.

Joy to the tourists who are going to be wondering what's going on.

For argument's sake; this is not a Buddhist rule but a Thai military rule.

Neighbouring Burma, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam to a certain extend are likewise Buddhist countries and none of them prohibits the sale, purchase or consumption of alcohol on any Buddhist holiday.

Just to set the record straight! Yet another proof of sheer demonstration of power over the underlings and the lemmings follow blindly (officially at least) ........ go figure
