So, two of the three screws that hold the basket on my Wave have rusted apart and the basket is also pretty rusty. 

 

Is it possible to get this repaired or will I have to buy a new basket entirely? Also any ideas of the cost?

 

In the meantime I've used a bungee cord to tie around the bike and hooked it to the basket to stop it from falling off. Is this dangerous?

I had the same issue and bought a replacement basket from a main dealer about three years ago.

I don't remember the cost as it was so low as to be incidental.

 

Maybe a few hundred baht.

When my daughters basket on her wave was falling off,

I did not post on here ,just told her to go to the Honda place,

and get a new one fixed on, because it was what was needed to

be done.....under 500 Baht.  you can find cheaper online and do yourself ,if you can.
