You can apply for a one year extension of stay based upon marriage to a Thai if you can show 400k baht in a Thai bank for 2 months for proof 40k baht of income. The fee for the extension is 1900 baht. To apply for the extension you would need a non immigrant O visa entry to the country.

Permanent Residency requires you to be working for a company with a work permit on extension of stay for 3 years.

Thank you for the information very Helpful  .

If you are married it's a no brainer.

The financial requirements are not onerous.

The downside is that it requires paperwork and possibly a home visit at extension time etc.

Which is your local immigration office? Others with personal experience of obtaining marriage extensions at that particular office may be able to advise you on specific requirements.
