Daily News reported on teen gang violence in Tha Yang sub-district of Thung Yai district, Nakhon Sri Thammarat, southern Thailand. 

 

Two rival groups of teens had mounted a pitched battle in the road throwing ping pong bombs at each other. 

 

Gunshots were also heard in the violence around 10 pm last night near the site of a trade fair.

 

Seven of those arrested were under 18 and one was 24. 

 

Taken into evidence were a baseball bat, Sparta knife and many smaller knives. 

 

Police were told that the rival groups met at the concert. They were from different gangs in the area and had had problems before. 

 

The action this weekend was an act of revenge after one gang member was stabbed in another incident.
