Travel Pattaya Faces Mixed Reactions Amid Decline in Chinese Tourists
Pattaya was fun back 20 years ago , now it’s completely over run with Indians & Russians , back over 20 years ago it was mostly Europeans & Americans & British , there was a nice laid back vibe to the place where people knew everyone in their own areas that you frequented like going down to you local pub basically , Chinese you’d only see them when the big busses would pull up & do their tour & buffet to eat that’s it they would never be see spending other than that where as like the rest of us it was out drinking from evening to nearly morning or as long as you could stay going , we were spending money but things were way cheaper back then too , prices of drink down walking street now can cost even more than Europe for a small bottle of beer etc so many Europeans are choosing places like lanzarote solou Tenerife for their holiday destination, i was there in January for 1 night I couldn’t believe how many places that have been taken over by Indian people around beach road & second road , it looked like they had a 80 % majority of establishments there , not the place for me anymore but maybe I’m getting older & like the quiet life more nowadays but aside from that it’s a different place completely to what it used to be & its mostly down to the different people I’ve mentioned that have taken it over in massive numbers -

Russia Dismisses Trump’s Ukraine Peace Plan Offers 3 Day Ceasefire
UKraine will not become Russia's buffer zone. A Ruusian proposal for buffer zone in Kharkiv region but even that is rejected by Ukraine. The idea of a buffer zone is seen as an attempt by Russia to bide their time for another escalation. Today Ukraine is not the same as 3 years ago at the start of the Russian invasion. Ukraine now has the second largest military in Europe and has narrow the gap with Russia through asymmetric warfare likje drones and robotics. They can continue to resist and even conduct cross border operations. They can do a lot more damage to Russia infrastructures if they are pushed to the brim. Ukraine will be around much longer than Putin. -

Travel Thailand Sees Tourism Uptick but Faces Competitive Challenges
File photo for reference only Thailand's Ministry of Tourism and Sports reported a modest increase in foreign tourist arrivals, registering 11.84 million visitors this year—a 0.12% rise compared to the same period last year. Among these, tourists from China made up a significant portion, numbering 1.6 million. Despite recent challenges, including a substantial earthquake in Myanmar affecting Bangkok, Thailand remains optimistic, sticking to its forecast of 38 million foreign arrivals for the year. However, industry insiders caution that Thailand could lose its competitive edge if it doesn't quickly adapt to China's bold tax policy enhancements. Notably, China is enticing more tourist spending by offering a generous 13% refund rate on tax-free shopping. This move may shift tourist preferences, prompting Thailand to assess its strategies to ensure it remains an attractive destination. As the country balances current influxes with potential future constraints, the focus is on maintaining a thriving tourist industry capable of competing on the global stage. The next few months will be critical in determining how Thailand can address these competitive challenges and continue to draw visitors to its shores. America has emerged....as an international laughingstock
They raised tariffs on specific items (cars) because they claimed China violated WTO rules. The claim will be adjudicated. So as yet to be determined whether the EU has violated the rules Treasury Market’s ‘New World Order’ Brings Fear of the Long Bond https://archive.ph/qMLmY The US 10-Year Treasury Yield Has Spiked: What It All Means for Investors Source Tradingkey Apr 29, 2025 08:34 TradingKey - After President Trump’s “Liberation Day” trade tariffs announcement, one of the weirdest things to happen in market was that bond yields actually rose significantly. The US 10-Year Treasury Yield briefly surged past 4.5% on April 9, 2025, marking its highest level since February—and a dramatic jump from just 3.9% on April 4, barely a week earlier and right after Liberation Day. This isn't just market noise. It's one of the sharpest yield spikes in recent memory, and it's sending shockwaves through Wall Street. https://www.mitrade.com/insights/news/live-news/article-6-787026-20250429 Treasury Market’s ‘New World Order’ Brings Fear of the Long Bond https://archive.ph/qMLmY Why do you think tariffs will bring higher quality. You're confusing higher prices with higher quality. Nations that adopt high tariff barriers usually offer goods with lower quality since they no longer have to compete. As for hunger wages losing their rational...because wates somehow would be exempted from market forces?
