As amusing as this is, I take issue with referring to this over-privileged pos that our working class tory members love as a "worker".  He has never done a day's work in his puff!

And that photograph is what he thinks of us all, the absolute scoundrel.

I doubt that, that's just what you think....????

Anyhooooo, is Liz still ahead in the race, I'm sure many voters will be pleased that our Liz will get the lazy folk back in work, which may help with dodgy immigrants coming to the UK working cash in hand.....????

As has been explained, being ahead wrt the the opinion of a political party membership that can in no sense be considered representative of the population at large is not any evidence that ‘voters at large will be pleased’.

Truss has nothing to offer the millions of people suffering under the worst inflation for decades and the worst cost of living crisis in living memory.

NHS Crisis, nothing.

Dental crisis, nothing.

Police failures, nothing.

Poverty, nothing.

The list goes on, she’s got no answers at all.

I look forward to her going to the polls with more tax cuts for corporations and the already wealthy and her derogatory views of the hard working people of the UK, but zilch to help them out.

What’s allegedly going on elsewhere in the world doesn’t matter to people in the UK having to choose between ‘heating and eating’ or those who cannot afford to eat every day.

People who can’t get to see a doctor, or those who can’t find a dentist, people who call for an ambulance that arrives hours later, or for the police who don’t even bother showing up.

Problems in the UK, not problems elsewhere, the selection of a leader for the UK who has no solutions for the problems people in the UK are struggling with.

But she does hold and express offensively derogatory views about British workers.

Good luck with that.

Sorry, I responded keeping to the topic under discussion’Liz Truss’ bid to become PM’.

I have absolutely no interest in taking part in your constant off topic trolling of this and other threads.

I thought I had previously made that abundantly clear.

I leave others to put up with your constant off topic trolling.

I’ll be back tomorrow to discuss whatever, U-turns, insults to the electorate or other random nonsense Truss comes out with in the interim.

Uh oh, reality calling.

“Carl Emmerson, deputy director of the IFS and an author of the report, said: “The reality is that the UK has got poorer over the last year. That makes tax and spending decisions all the more difficult. It is hard to square the promises that both Ms Truss and Mr Sunak are making to cut taxes over the medium-term with the absence of any specific measures to cut public spending and a presumed desire to manage the nation’s finances responsibly.”

That’s a big presumption Carl.

Maybe under pressure or it is now dawning on her that she is totally incompetent to be a PM and handle all of the problems that her party has piled up for the nation ? I suspect after a year or so she will call an election in the hope they will be voted out and it will be the other party left to clear up the mess again.

Is the widespread sewage dumping on England's southern shores part of a plot to deter Channel crossing migrants?

Liz dare not face Britain’s farmers, but never mind the NFU can ‘empty chair’ her.

On the upside, they’ll probably get more sense out of an Empty Chair:

And at least an empty chair can stand on it's own 4 feet unlike Truss who can not even stand on her own two without the support of the ultra right wing.

Not a surprising comment from an ultra left wing.....:stoner:

She’s on a roll.

Truss’ latest pro-big business, anti consumer madness idea is to merge the UK’s financial regulators (the organizations set up to prevent banks from gambling with the nation’s credit and protect consumers from financial fraudsters).

Just sod off, Johnson. Just go, you parasite. You have brought nothing but ruin and disorder to the UK.

Speaks volumes about him that this needs to be said:

”The spokesman told reporters Mr Johnson had paid for his own holiday”

In November 1918  prime minister Lloyd George in his famous speech stated  " to Make Briton a fit country for heroes to live in".   I have no doubt the potential PM, Liz Truss will aim to make Britain "" A country fit for wealthy tax avoiders to be resident in"" .   Indeed a divided nation.

In my opinion there has only been one great peace time prime minister in my lifetime and that was Harold  MacMillan. to quote from "Wiki" ;  "  He was a One Nation Tory of the Disraelian tradition and supported the post-war consensus. He supported the welfare state and the necessity of a mixed economy with some nationalised industries and strong trade unions. He championed a Keynesian strategy of deficit spending to maintain demand and pursuit of corporatist policies to develop the domestic market as the engine of growth. Benefiting from favourable international conditions,[2] he presided over an age of affluence, marked by low unemployment and high—if uneven—growth. In his speech of July 1957 he told the nation it had 'never had it so good',[3] but warned of the dangers of inflation,

What a shame that all successive Tory PM's, perhaps with the exception of John Major has succeeded in almost destroying MacMillan's philosophy and now the UK can look forward to years of deprivation for the millions of less well off and pensioners, the butt of international jokes and an utterly, utterly divided nation. What ever happened to the Tories and their probable selection of the countries next "couldn't care less" PM, Liz Truss ?
