Major drug dealer shot in the head in Kanchanaburi by Ratchaburi police after gunfight

Thai Rath reported that the Tha Muang, Kanchanaburi police were called after a gunfight between police from Ban Pong, Ratchaburi and a drug dealer in a pickup.

 

Rescue services managed to tow an Isuzu out of the klong. Inside dead from a single gunshot wound to the head was Chaiwit "Mot" Siriatthiporn, 30. A .38 gun and 20,400 Ya Ba pills were recovered. 

 

The vehicle had been involved in a collision and there were multiple holes from gunshots.

 

In the road was a red plate Yaris belonging to the police that was also damaged and had seven holes in it.

 

The Ratchaburi police explained that earlier they had arrested a man called Burapha, 25, on their patch and he had led them to an associate called Chaiwit.

 

The police set a trap but there was a collision with their vehicle and the suspect's as they tried to prevent escape.

 

A gunfight ensued in which multiple shots were fired.

 

The suspect was hit and veered off the road into the klong.

 

It all went down in Phang Tru sub-district of Kanchanaburi around 2 pm yesterday afternoon.

Thought a .38 only had 5 or 6 chambers. Must have reloaded.

Agree but I wouldn't be surprised if the 'shot' was discharged mm away rather than meters. In any event the right result!

In the report it say the pickup failed to stop and as he was attempting to flee the police opened fire.

One lucky shot by the sounds of it... but it found the mark which is a good thing.

I have another way for them if they catch them. Make them take all the drugs they are carrying and if in the morning they are ok, a cup of coffee on they are free to go.
