Perfectly legal in a parliamentary system

in the UK each MP must be elected by the people before they can serve im Parliament - they must win their seat in a local election (contituency) against others who can be representing a party or standing as an individual, if they do not win they cannot serve in government ir in cabinet, it seems in Thailand as long as you are a member of a winning party you can then be appointed to any roll the party wishes even if you did not win a seat as an individual voted for by the public .................................. that is not democracy

In the USA -- although they have to be confirmed by a majority in the Senate -- a Cabinet Secretary does not have to prior be elected to any position by the general voting populace.

NO, NO, NO, NO, NO. It is time to retire this relic of the past. He must go. Very few want him, he is not needed, or required. His popularity is at an all time low, though that does not seem to matter much in a nation where all things seem to be manipulated, one way or the other. It is time for the people to choose.

Prayuth has failed in a horrific fashion, by nearly any measurable context. Time to move on. Enjoy your fortune elsewhere. Get a hobby, or do some leisure traveling. Do something, other than make the Thai people miserable. Please.

Great. You convinced me. He should go,

Prayut may practically hold onto the defence portfolio and attend cabinet meetings at Government House while leaving the top post of government to Deputy Prime Minister Prawit Wongsuwan to perform as a caretaker one if the Constitutional Court orders him to immediately stop performing as prime minister until a court ruling on his eight-year rule maximumly provided by law has been delivered, Wissanu said.

Jeez....just kick him out,

Remember they passed a bill absolving them of anything and everything they did while in power. Gave themselves a get out of jail free card.....

I didn't think that went through.

I know Anutin was doing something along those lines during and after the vaccine debacle.

Rummers going round, him at the top of the ladder says he can stay on as PM ,so that has about finalized it.

And remember, when he first took over he said it was for the transition period ,for when the late king passed away ,and his son became the new king ,and all the time he was saying, how good he will be ,and now him at the top is saying thank you.
