Thanks, I appreciate the effort. So, a rogue agent and not the FBI officially as an organisation. It is possible I guess that there is a rogue player lying to a judge again but the chances of that happening again and to an ex president must be vanishingly small.

 

To be clear, I know the police and possibly the FBI have a bad record for faking and planting evidence but that's not everywhere all the time. And less likely in high profile cases. The FBI have always been a Republican led and overtly conservative organisation, paint me skeptical.

His lawyers stated, in contradiction to fact, that all documents had been returned.

 

Follow the pack of ever changing lies coming out of Trump since this lawfully authorized, lawfully executed search took place.

 

Each fact that is revealed paints and even worse picture than the facts we already have in front of us, and many of those facts are provided by Trump himself.

But he won’t, he needs to feed his own delusions and the delusions of his followers.

 

In doing so he provides the DOJ with public record statements that they will use against him.

 

And if any of his deluded followers commit crimes out of the rage he is fermenting in their heads, they’ll be on their own,

 

Trump isn’t going to ‘walk down to the Capitol’ with anyone.

FBI says they were classified documents .

Trump says he declassified the documents whilst in office and thus didn't need to hand them over   .

We will have to wait for the outcome to see what those documents were and whether they were important documents which required the FBI to raid his premises .

   Could be part of the never ending attempts to get Trump  impeached, prosecuted and jailed . Trying to use the laws to stop the democratic process

It's highly unlikely that a conviction would prevent Trump from running again unless certain elements of the law were invoked to prevent him and which have never been used as far as I can tell. The law forced Nixon to resign. If Trump couldn't stand because of the law that would not stop the democratic process. The law is the law and the dems alone didn't write them. Not to indict if the FBI believe he has a case to answer just because he wants to run again would be a breach of democratic process. If he won before being convicted the process would automatically stop.

The straw clutching by Trump supporters has reached ridiculous levels.

"All the documents were declassified..." So why, in the request for a special master to be appointed did his own lawyers specifically mention “that it would be appropriate for the special master to possess a 'top secret' clearance."?

"All they found were empty folders..." No, as can clearly be seen in the evidence photos, numerous top secret documents were found along with a number of empty folders, which if anything are even more concerning.

We know he had these documents because he admitted it on his failing social media app when he said they weren't just scattered about like the photos show, but were in cartons.

We know that they were in at least one place open to visitors because one of his lawyers admitted it in a radio interview when she described Trump's office and said that it had frequent visitors.

All these points have been brought up already, some numerous times, yet his supporters resort to closing their eyes while sticking their fingers in their ears and shouting MAGA, MAGA, MAGA... and no doubt will continue to spout them, even after this whole sorry saga is ended with his prosecution and punishment.

And, to those who realise that he hasn't a leg to stand on, so resort to threats that upsetting the MAGA brigade will lead to riots and worse, I say bring it on.  History has shown that it is never worth trying to placate a bully - especially not a treasonous, lying, cowardly, thieving betrayer and purveyor of his own country's secrets. Let them come out blazing so the law enforcers can deal the problem once and for all.

You're right. When Trump steps out of line, his supporters are quick to call him on it. Take this very recent example in Pennsylvania where Trump referred to the Democratic candidate for Senate:

"Fetterman supports taxpayer-funded drug dens and the complete decriminalization of illegal drugs, including heroin, cocaine, crystal meth, and ultra lethal fentanyl," Trump said. "By the way, he takes them himself."

In an absolutely wonderful example of irony, in that same speech he said this:

In that same speech he also called the FBI and the Justice Dept "vicious monsters".

 

The condemnations from Trump supporters were so loud you could hear a pin drop.

There is a procedure. The bloated one cannot just wave a magic wand over stuff and call it declassified. Agency heads must sign off, making sure no sources and methods are revealed. Then the WH Counsel signs them, classification headings are removed, and "DECLASSIFIED" is stamped on the docs.
