webfact Posted September 6, 2022 Posted September 6, 2022 Daily News Thai Caption: Cause (of death) urgently sought! Daily News reported sad news from Mae Ramphung beach in Muang district of Rayong on Thailand's eastern seaboard after a turtle washed up dead. Environmentalists, vets and fishing experts were called after a tourist found the creature outside the Rayong Beach Hotel on Monday afternoon. It was 50 cms long, 30 cms wide and weighed about 10 kilos. Vet Thanaphan Chomcheun said that it was a green sea turtle (chelonia mydas or tao tanu in Thai) aged about 5. Its sex could not be determined. The body had no injuries and an initial examination of the intestinal contents revealed nothing untoward. The turtle was taken away for a full autopsy to determine the cause of death and hopefully prevent a recurrence. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-09-06 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. huangnon Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 12 hours ago, kidneyw said: It was aged about 5. A mere youngster, then.. ???? Doubtless an autopsy will reveal a gutful of plastic bags and the usual detritus of human endevour.
bendejo Posted September 7, 2022 Posted September 7, 2022 This is where CNN would aim the camera at it and just let it stay that way most of the afternoon while the anchors chatter about turtle stuff.
