Internet Access In The Sticks

Featured Replies

Is there any decent Internet service available outside Bangkok or the major residential areas?

I'm based in Si Sa Ket and my connections times are so slow that sometimes I feel it would be better to send a letter instead of an email.

Is there any plans to improve the telephone network/infastructure in the LOS?

Search this forum for IPStar (satellite) if you want to spend some B. When I lived in the middle of nowhere I used dialup when it worked, and AIS GPRS when it didn't.

if you have little chance of getting a phone line where you are and do not wish to pay for sat you might do well to check out GPRS.

crushdepths blog ( www.crushdepth.net) has some info and search this forum for additional comments
