Teacher held by police for allegedly hosting drinks party with students at resort

A Thai male school teacher has been held and charged by police for after he allegedly took nine male and female students to a resort in Na Chueak district of Maha Sarakham province for a drinks party.

 

Police and local administration officials went to the resort on Saturday, after they were alerted by a school teacher about the party, allegedly organised by a male teacher.

 

A member of staff at the resort told the police that the teacher had rented two rooms. When they opened one of those rooms, they found nine students, aged between 13 and 17, still in their uniforms, with the teacher. They also found liquor and soft drinks in the room.

Incredibly inappropriate. Hard to believe there wasn't a sexual motive somewhere in the mix. Parents must want to tar and feather this guy. Kudos to the fellow teacher for alerting authorities.

I know of a few falang teachers who think it IS appropriate to drink with underage kids.  Maybe not to the extent of renting rooms, but nevertheless.

 

If you have a kid at a Thai school...........................start asking questions.

 

Because it's Thailand, it's very hard to get these "teachers" fired.

Obviously not, otherwise it would have been mentioned in the story.

 

I guess that, surprise, surprise, men[and women, to a far lesser degree] are also capable of thinking that "they can do this weird, inappropriate stuff".

Used to know a sports teacher/provincial coach who took University students around the country competing in inter-provincial Sepak Takraw games.

Always had a booze party at the end of games... and going out to the local club/bar.

From the FULL story it appears he has done this before and it was a fellow Student who alerted the other the other Teacher,

clubs and bars But not 13-17 yr old ? in a private room ! big differance.

The ones I worked with were far more refined than the men.  Perhaps I was just fortunate in meeting decent ones.
