I want to go and do some diving in Koh Tao. I want to buy a package of around 20 dives with accommodation. I might also do the rescue diver course while there. Can anyone recommend a good dive company to check out.

Roctopus have a good reputation.

Have a look at their site.

Ignore the previous posts - fear mongering.

You have more chance of dying in a motorbike accident somewhere in Thailand

Thanks for the info. I didnt take any notice of the fear mongering when you have scuba dived in waters with great whites, tiger and bullsharks you are not going to be concerned about visiting Koh Tao.

... enjoy Koh Tao, unfortunately.

The "must try" dive sites are Sail Rock and Chumphon Pinnacle only, others are so so.

P.S. Sattakut wreck is nice too, if you like wrecks.

P.P.S. ask the dive center staff when is a whale shark season, I'd go there when there are frequent sightings of whale sharks.
