webfact Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Sanook Thai Caption: Mysterious steam Sanook went to visit a 66 year old man called Thanakorn Angbunreuang in Chang Khlan sub-district of Muang Chiang Mai. He gleefully showed them where steam was coming up by a wall. He said you could feel heat in the area but he was assured there was no fire. He investigated and found fluctuating electrical currents. But a qualified electrical professional had assured him the electrics were all in working order. He said the house was built there 60 years ago and additional concrete was poured 20 years ago and there had been no problems since. He doubted the electrical expert and was preparing to seek a second opinion convinced it was an electrics issue. moogradod Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Strange things obviously happen sometimes. But this is nothing compared to what happened in Italy many years ago. I found a corresponding post on the net: As you can see from this report everything was undertaken involving the highest authorities to explain the phenomena - but until today to no avail: https://www.odditycentral.com/<deleted>/italian-village-plagued-by-mysterious-fires-has-been-puzzling-scientists-for-years.html
xylophone Posted September 13, 2022 Posted September 13, 2022 Was the house built on a landfill by any chance, because landfill land which has been reclaimed, can cause this effect, even after many years? 1
Popular Post Stocky Posted September 13, 2022 Popular Post Posted September 13, 2022 There are geothermally active areas in Thailand, Chiang Mai being one of them. It's home to Thailand's only geothermal power plant near Wiang Fang. 2 1 1

I'll stir the pot; its volcanic activity heating up the underground water. Soon he will have his own steam bath. 1 1
