Yes, watched the funeral from start to finish yesterday on the BBC. Unlike the OP's wife, mine and her family were seemingly indifferent. But there again they are also seemingly indifferent to similar events here in LOS.

 

Yesterday brought back poignant memories for me of Princess Diana's funeral in 1997, which I was able to experience in person in London where I was living at the time.

The wife is constantly watching the crown ,she tells me who everybody is,can you  believe it? 

The Crown is great. A lot more entertaining than the real thing!
