webfact Posted October 6, 2022 Posted October 6, 2022 INN reported from Songkhla in the far south of Thailand where they said that tourism was picking up again after the pandemic. Particularly among Malaysian tourists who were coming to visit the province on weekends. Cashing in on the demand for tours around the province is local businessman Jaran Chaiphakdee, 42, who has adapted two old song thaews (vehicles with two rows of seats in the back) to show tourists around. There is very little like them on the roads today, claimed the media. They will pick up passengers at Laem Samila beach and for 1,000 baht for 15 passengers will provide tours. The Malaysians said it was a great way to get around with "natural air con" for a reasonable price. The media thought it was a great idea too. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2022-10-06 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m.
