One letter typo on middle name of plane ticket

Featured Replies

My ex bought the tickets using her phone and there is
a one letter typo on my sons middle name, Jhon instead of John.

We finally heard back from Thai airways after 3 months of sending them emails about this and they have given no answer but to speak with the booking agent. The booking agent require $160 aus to change one letter!

Has anyone flown with this kind of typo on their ticket and it's been ok?

Thanks

I flew with Vietjet recently and the name on my ticket was my middle name as my first  name and my first name as my surname .

Got on the flight without a problem .

Did Thai airways make the error or did you make the error in the wrong spelling ?

Depends on whether it is spotted at check in. The name has to match the name in the passport.

The error was made by my ex. She used a booking agent so not directly with Thai Airways, which is why they can not help regarding the name change. I'm disappointed they did not offer any more help or advice though!
