"Legendary Aircon man" attracts RTP chief's attention with boastful armory pics

Royal Thai Police chief Pol Gen Damrongsak Kittipraphat was none too pleased when pictures circulated online of a Thai man's large armory of weapons.

 

This was creating fear among the public, reported Siam Rath.

 

The man behind the pictures was Aphisit, 42, who has a BB Gun range called "BB Gun Range - The Legendary Aircon man".

With last week's horrendous massacre and the resulting gun crackdown very much to the forefront, Damrongsak immediately mustered some of his finest Lt-Gens and Maj-Gens (Siam Rath listed many) to get to the bottom of it.

 

Three places were searched and Aphisit had 46 BB Guns, two .22 rifles and lots of ammo.

One of the rifles was not legally register leading to the suspect being taken away and charged with having an illegal weapon.

 

The BB guns are also being checked.

Surat Thani governor Wichawut Jinto also took part in the searches in Muang district of the southern Thai city of Surat Thani.

I shot my brother between the eyes with a BB gun +/-60 years ago. He said it really hurt.  But, luckily I didn't put out one of his eyes. The point is a BB gun is not typically 'deadly'.  (yes, I had a belt applied to my posterior with extreme accuracy.  I never aimed another gun of any type at a person).

 

Note: we were fighting. He's 2 yrs older and was well over a foot taller then me. I was scared, but I should not have shot him.

According to the article he only had two guns, one registered, the other not. The others were toys.
