"Who put those there?!" Three charged in yaba case after police action at Ao Nang, Krabi port

77kaoded Thai Caption: Water police find drugs out at the seaside

 

Police in Ao Nang, Krabi acting on a tip swooped on a long tail boat offering pleasure rides to tourists at the Nopparat Thara pier in southern Thailand.

 

In a waterproof bag part of boat trappings owned by Sanya, 43, they found 862 yaba pills.

 

Phanu, 18, his son, had two pills on his person.

 

Thongrop, 28, had 63.

They were all charged with possession of a Class 1 drug, namely meth and detained.

 

Sanya denied possession saying:

 

"I have no idea who put those drugs in my bag".

 

His son admitted to taking yaba, reported 77kaoded with a video of the event.

It's not as if this meth problem is new.  It's been terrible for years.  It's just the government has been ignoring it.  There's just a lot of money to be made.

 

Our village in the North East has a terrible problem.  Mostly young men. Even young kids are smoking it now.
