LOS has held this position for centuries in regard to such foreign events, nothing new in this stance.

I guess the Russian industrial military complex wasn't as strong as they said it was. However they're doing a great job at supplying Ukraine for free, Moscow is by far the largest supplier of heavy weapons for Ukraine, well ahead of the U.S. or other allies in sheer numbers

If anything, a more powerful Russia incorporating Ukraine would give the US Govt more reasons to increase spending on its “military industrial complex”.

I understand Putin's frustration over an issue which ran for 20+ years already; at the same time I utterly disagree to his gunned foreign policy in making his point. 

He could have closed the gas valves by 50% to start with but then, he is a Soviet brain and not a Russian. 

Under these circumstances I understand the Thai position to abstain any many other countries too far away; what I miss is the attempt to put the problem back onto the negotiation tables and, sadly enough, even the Swiss and the Swedes, known for their diplomatic skills and calm approach, failed miserably this time. 

The US, officially backing Nato's "endeavours", will be fighting this war to the last standing Ukrainian, the bills are issued in the name of Nato in Brussels and, unlike Vietnam, Afghanistan, Korea and all other places they put their nose in, these bills will be signed and paid. 

The Ukrainians pay this incident with a very, very high price while nobody tries diplomacy; they could have at least tried, possibly over and over again.

I put this in quotes as it’s a term used by leftists that seems to refer to only the military spending of the US, rather than that of any other country. It’s an unfortunate fact of life that countries have to waste vast amounts of resources on defence.

 

I don’t see the relevance of the dispute over the winner of the last US election. Just about all US politicians, with the exception of a few on either the most extreme left or the most extreme right, utterly despise Putin for the tens of thousands of people that he’s maimed and murdered.

Well I can agree to certain extent, the USA couldn't care less about freedom and democracy anywhere not even in America but considering the economic state of Ukraine and the vast amount of weapons debt, not only to the US but to Europe as well, it is unlikely that this debt will ever be repaid, it will be written off as will the enormous amount of debt needed to rebuild the Ukraine after the war. There are several plus points however, future good will from Ukraine towards the west, a new NATO member which like Finland is on Russia's door step, an ideal testing ground for their latest weapons and good strategic training for NATO's officers (I assume that Ukraine has a lot of western military advisors guiding military strategy) and last but not least, a severe weakening of Russia both militarily and economically and a probable break up of the Russian federation which could serve as a warning to China. All in all NATO is going to come out stronger from this war and the west will gain more influence in Asia as China and Russia's influence weakens, it's money well spent.

You're counting on people being ignorant or too lazy to look up the history for themselves. Everything you wrote is either a complete lie or a misrepresentations of the truth. Zelensky is a US puppet and the way he came to power was through a coup in 2014. A coup that was financed by the US and EU and carried out by neo-Nazi troops from the Svoboda party. They have since killed over 14,000 Russian speaking Ukrainians in the now annexed regions. Putin was ready to sign the peace deal but he knew that western involvement would likely make it impossible.
