The Usual Suspects

Featured Replies

The next EPL season 2007/2008 will again see the usual suspects, Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool occupying the top 4 places.

The gap between these clubs and the others is so great and it all come down to pedigree and of course, cold cash.

Don't see another club coming close for the next few years.

If this is a horse race, you can box these 4 clubs for a 'quartet' and you cannot lose!

EPL is so predictable!

Huh?

You do realize that all the PL (and championship?) teams have substantial increase in cash injection from the TV dealings and such for next season right? Shepherd is ready to plung 50 mill in players from the takeover, Man City is about to steal Benayoun from under 'Pool's nose.

If anything, next season should be tighter than ever.

You're right about cold hard cash, but every team has more of it.

Portsmouth, and Westham are spending. Spurs is spending.

Tottenham have been 5th for 2 years running , with Henry leaving and the possibility of the Spurs squad being strengthened I would say that they are the only team capable of breaking through- albeit scraping a 4th place at best.

But I wouldn't be surprised if they were 5th or 6th again ( hey it's better than the mid-table mediocrity we used to live at )

:o

Man City will dominate the EPL this season :D

Don't worry i'm like this every year, until the third game into the season and my dreams are once again shattered :o

With a manager England didn't want, an owner Thailand didn't want and a squad of players that nobody wants :D

City fans are far more "Glass half full" types than other supporters FC.

We will be getting an ex England manager who successfully took England to the World Cup Finals.

An Owner who started life as a Cop but is now an extremely rich businessman, bringing his luck and business acumen with him.

And a squad of players who want to be here. The one's who didn't we already got rid of.

Ooooh, i can feel the Silver Tupperware already, for us this season :o
