BANGKOK, Nov 1 (TNA) – The Department of Medical Sciences has readied its laboratories to conduct tests for Ebola around the clock as the disease is spreading in Uganda.

 

Dr Supakit Sirilak, director-general of the department, said the Ebola outbreak in Uganda was being watched closely although the number of cases was not high there. Disease control measures were intensified in Uganda but the World Health Organization had not declared Ebola a public health emergency of international concern (PHEIC), he said.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't most of the spread in Africa due to the custom of family washing and therefore having close contact with the body after death from ebola. I don't think it's an airborne contact like Covid.

Thais already did eight years ago.  I can't think why it didn't take off and there was no Nobel prize issued.

 

Upnotover posted a response to this topic back in September (IIRC).  Those of us who have been here a long time would have recollections of this posted nonsense by Siriraj researchers.  Overall Siriraj is an excellent hospital.  It's is just some Thai's need their 15 seconds of fame.
