Mr. Manop Totrakarn about what he saw and were told the sedan driven by Utsa was traveling at high speed. Manop stated Utsa tried to overtake another vehicle before he lost control, started to spin, and then slammed into the pickup truck.

Nuff said, 500,000 to the innocent parties plus all hospital bills, 3 years driving ban also

Do they even teach about driving a safe speed for the road conditions here?

Nope, if the speedo goes up to 220 k's then that is the benchmark.

Just pull the seat as far forward as possible, stare straight ahead and pedal to the metal.????????

They don't an opportunity for that when they drive around the testing centre car park to prove their skills.

Stop reporting that the driver "blamed" the accident on slippery roads. This is not a defense to driving too fast on wet roads and losing control. This is actually an admission by the driver that he/she was negligent for driving too fast for the road conditions at the time.
