Photharam police in the central province of Ratchaburi were called after a woman flipped her Honda while making a U-turn on the Petchkasem Highway.

 

It happened near the Klong Ma Nao market.

 

At the scene they found a badly damaged vehicle on its roof.

 

Suffering only minor cuts to her left foot from a broken windshield was the driver, a woman named only as "Noi".

 

Noi said she was going home to Damnoen Saduak after work and was making a U-turn when a snake slithered into her path, reported 77kaoded.

She swerved to avoid it, hit a bridge support and sign and flipped over onto the other side of the klong. 

 

77kaoded said it was a miracle she was not more seriously hurt. The victim said it was fortunate she didn't end up in the water.

 

Police are assessing the damage to state property as they investigate the accident.

It has been seeing hiding at the    U turn waiting for another Honda. 

a motorcycle taxi driver grabbed the snake and headed off for lunch

Should have just imagined it was a climate change protestor and run it over.

The damage doesn't look that bad really, it's mostly the 'crumple zone' of the car by the looks of the photos.

Agreed, at high speeds.

However, this woman claims to have been carrying out a U-turn.

Snake or no snake, you would have to be going at a decent speed to roll a car over during a U-turn.

If she was carrying out a U-turn at a reasonable speed, there would be no reason to swerve, just brake.

My guess is that the snake was on the tiktok video she was watching at the time of the accident

Brake fail , wet road and now snake had it in for me. Maybe it was a wet road and she couldn't see through the wind screen due to bad vipers.   Well it made me larf !
