AN AILING elderly Australian woman abandoned at a hostel in Bangkok’s Bang Rak district by an unidentified foreign man was helped by a city councillor who got her admitted to Klang Hospital for treatment, Matichon newspaper said this evening (Nov. 27).

A STRESSED-OUT Japanese man was found to have committed suicide by disemboweling himself at a large house he shared with a Japanese family in Chiang Mai today (Nov. 27), Thai Rath newspaper said.

Over 3,000 Arrested Over Illegal World Cup Gambling

THE police drive against illegal gambling on the 22nd Fifa World Cup matches over the eight days since the tournament started last Sunday (Nov. 20) has so far netted 3,178 punters, bookmakers and bet receivers, Matichon newspaper said.

THE PUBLIC Health Ministry  issued an alert for the public not to believe fake news spreading on social media that the government is going to cancel New Year’s festival because the new Covid-19 strain Deltacron XBC is now spreading here, TV Channel 7 said.

Over 130 cars sold illegally by “car for cash” dealer seized by police
