Safe round our neck of the woods then , people riding motor bikes while texting/tiktokking/facebooking with no helmets , probably no license/tax/insurance.

Tuesday there was a Police stop carried out about 5 klicks from us. Cones , flashing lights etc.

People were just turning left about 50 metres beforeit , driving round the temple and coming out 100 metres the other side of the Police stop.

Big deal really, when it is generally considered as optional to have a driving licence anyhow. Even for the average Thai that uses up all their points, it's got as much chance of stopping them from still driving without one as Mr. T has of being a convincing ladyboy.

90 day ban is going to stop people driving then.

Take away the idiots that deserve this the most there are 1000s of Thais that literally cannot earn a bean without driving. Without taking their motor away you'll not keep them off the roads.

Laughable lawmaking yet again.

Sometimes when we drive around with the missus, we follow cars and I often count the point deductions that should be given to cars driving in front of us. We find that some could accumulate 12 points in a matter of 5 minutes.

Not sure how this point-based system will be enforced but there is definitely room for it.
