driving on the motorway

can't find any regulation on lane speeds for the motorway, is it legal to drive at 120 in all four lanes on the Highway 7 Motorway or is that only for the two right hand lanes

Yes same 120 on all 4 lanes, but of course the the speeds are going to be slower on the inner lanes, as there are slower cars, trucks that use them, plus cars slowing down for rest stops etc.

There are marking 90 on the left 120 on the right. 

But reality of driving here don't do as Thai do,  adjust your speed based on condition it will reduce the excuses.

I'm especially impressed with the definition (on page 1) of an automobile as any engine powered vehicle with 3 or more wheels.  And the definition of a motorcycle as anything with only 2 wheels, except when it has an additional wheel for a sidecar, being 3 wheels.

Many Thai drivers like to stick to one lane I find, middle or outside in most cases. 

Coming up behind cars trucks on my bike you must have to be aware of someone being observant ???? and moving to the left,  it comes as a surprise sometimes and repositioning is required.

Unlikely that he will.

And the finger can cost your health or life.

Same reason the racers won't flash. They don't know that you are a farang and have no caliber 0.38 at hand.

I know everyone on this forum drives perfect but just to let you know there's a camera at the lane that merges onto Hwy 7--motorway, coming from Sukhumvit Pattaya heading north. If you cross the v-shaped lines when merging it will trigger--see attachment. I just barely crossed over and it caught me. My fault but I was trying to get around a slower moving vehicle so I could merge into traffic.

Also there's a speed camera at km marker 4 on the same road, about half way from Sukhumvit to the first toll booth, it's on the right hand side of the road.....don't ask me how I know LOL. 

And yes I know, I should be obeying the rules while driving in Thailand.

It's also worth noting that some roads are now posting minimum speeds for certain lanes, AH1 (Route 32) north of BKK

 

 

I don't go up there very often but seem to remember having this sign illuminate over my lane for going too SLOWLY!

As a general rule for such a motorway.

But as mentioned, all along motorway #7 there are electronic signs that set max speed per lane. I seen 120 - 100 - 80 - ?

Buffalo has right of way over all vehicles at all times and in all lanes.

Especially when sleeping!!!

If you mean the overhead gantry ones they appear to be directed at the max speed for specific types of vehicles. 

Often there are flashing 90 signs on the side/middle of the 7 which just seem to get ignored. There are also 90 signs inside a red circle now on the stretch from the tollbooths at Pattaya to the newish Maptahut junction.
