Years ago, in the small Soi just west of/behind the (old) Montri Hotel at Pratu Thapae was an all woman's tailor shop that did wonderful work, including custom tailoring for menswear.

 

Appreciate if you have any information about where those folks may be now, or other recommendations for custom tailoring (in this case curtains with a backing material).

I remember her. Was here husband Japanese?  Spoke to a guy there once wrote his name in a notebook somewhere.

 

Years ago I had a hard time finding a duvet cover in Thailand she took a king size I had from US and altered it to a smaller size for me. 

I  don't know if it's the same women you are speaking of, but in the small soi behind the old Montri, (Ratchadamnoen Soi 1) the woman there made three shirts for me last week.

She's been in that same shop for as long as I can remember, and doing the same great work!
