COVID booster availability?

Featured Replies

I am trying to source a western booster vaccination for my wife who is going in hospital for a month next week

The doctor who is admitting her has said that there has been quite a lot of covid cases in this particular hospital. She could really do without being infected while being ill already.

She has had two Chinese vaccines and one Moderna.

I would like to give her a second booster before she goes in.

I have tried Ram  Bangkok Hospital , Rajevej and Lanna with no success.

So has anyone any experience getting one elsewhere

Many thanks

Have you tried asking at a government hospital?

Newsets study form Israel said 4th booster only increases 3% more in “safety”. Look at Lancet. I dont have the link anymore.

Only new updated versions of m-rna vaccines provide more security in terms of B-cell antibodies which drops after 6 months.

These updated vaccines to Omicron and not based on the rural version are not available in Thailand (so far).

Moderna shot is 100mg in Thailand, 50ml abroad. She has received a double portion on Moderna! Be aware!

T cells (antibodies lungs) working after 6 months.

B cells (nose area) not.

So, forget a 4th one.

I am not against vaccines.

Blood clot/myocardial risk during hospital treatment should be considered more…

Wife got booster at Mother and Child hospital this AM

Foreigners welcome. Only until 1200 or 1230 so most likely SOL today.

Another coming up in a week or two

Sansai  Hospital ?

No, Nakornping Hosp. only. Pfizer Fri and Sat 8am. Free to all. Efficient. Car parking is a challenge. motorbike is easier.

I asked at Mcormick yesterday, the receptionist did a bit of calling around, the result was Nakorn Ping hospital Fridays between 8am and 2 pm.

I was looking for my 4th jab.

Use Google Lens to translate it but the main one is at Nakornping Fridays and Saturdays except public holidays 8-2.

You'll likely also be able to get boosters at major District Hospitals as well.

Don't these hospitals ask you if you've had 3 jabs, and, if so, are they willing to give another one ?

Saraphi Hospital has or had Pfizer available for walk ins from 8-10am on Monday and Wednesdays.  My wife and I had our 5th with no problems after about a 20min wait.  Call to confirm since ours was about 3 months ago.
