Loud music good or bad

Happy new year.  I googled why some people like too play their music so loud everyone has to hear their tastes. It comes up with people who need attention as they not got any when they were child. Like man in flash car look at me I have a big dick... But really it's really says what a Dick...

.. it seems the music problems seem to be worse in Thailand.could this be due to lack of attention.. or just plain selfishness. As I would not have thought that selfishness was the  Buddha upbringing.

Music starts over the village PA system at 6am, followed by some (as the Mrs calls it) Bull 5hit talking and advertising. So they are saying that everyone must wake up at 6am.

Then at 7am the village head tells everyone what's happening and who has died.

I have to admit I also like to hear some music loud.

When I still lived in a country far away, I had a wonderful sound system in my car, and I could turn it up to the max.

At home I behaved because of the neighbors.

Now, when I am in one of my regular bars, and I had enough to drink, and they play my favorite music, then maybe I ask them to crank up the volume.

of course good!!!!!!  I carry a massive radio box (forget the slang term now) on my shoulder when I walk into Macro....... blasting the good music for all to hear!!!!  3 am, OK, 4 am, spirits go away!!!!

 

The music is helping us and saving us from the evil spirits.  It must be loud!!!!!! must!!!!!

Do you have any favorite music which you like to hear loud?

Personally, I think there is lots of such music. Most of the time I don't hear it loud because I don't want to annoy the neighbors. But if I would have a house somewhere far away from anybody, I would definitely turn up the volume from time to time.

so good today.  My father used to say listening to that rubbish ,you'll

go deaf , and as always he was right,

It is just part of the culture now - I am not sure why... 

 

I was in a car wash and they had the music blaring and then a guy came in with a major car stereo and that was blaring too... nobody seemed to mind. I went for lunch.

Tastes.  Some people love it.  It can be annoying for sure.  There are definitely audiophiles that it's an art  for them.

I find it more Little Richard syndrome though (in this day and age of tech) with loud engines and mufflers on cars and bikes.  

Yes, once upon a time big muscle necessitated big noise, but that's no longer the case.  so now it's just for "look at me, pleeeeeaaaasse"

My loud music is epic. Everyone else's is obviously total noise. Loud noise out of a car these days is just ghetto.

The last time I liked loud music was in 1974 when I saw Black Sabbath, supported by ACDC, in Sydney. Since then it's been pretty much just noise.

Same here - nowadays I listen to the TV on headphones after 11pm as I have to have it cranked up so high on the speakers that it would annoy the neighbours.

if thais knew how to actually set the bass and treble it wouldnt be too bad but they turn the bass up full and the music distorts really badly, obvious conclusion is thais do not have any idea of how music should be played nor do they have an ear for it. Agree with the op, they seem to think the more noise they make  the bigger their appendage

I am allways impressed by "balloon parties" of bars. Meter high speakers with incredible noise next to the customer area. I couldn't stay there 1 minute.

Try living in Indonesia. My mate in Lombok says they have half a dozen mosques within half a click from his place and he says they do the call to prayer 5 times a day round the clock on the loudspeakers. That alone would drive me to leave.

There is one waynekerr in the village you starts his music at 7am snd

goes to 11pm daily.

You can’t even hear the music but the

vibration and distortion of the bass cranked to maximum.

I am thrilled not to own a gun.......I would be serving life if I had one and 20/30 morons in my village would have been wasted.

So, lotsa peeps recommending against Pattaya. The condo I rent has double glazing and in a quiet soi. Some of the nightmares I see above reduce my yearning for the sunny uplands.
