Denmark Considers Importing Medications from Thailand and Asia to Cut Costs
Really? Produce for the domestic market? Are you aware that Denmark is part of the EU and any medicine sold anywhere in the EU can be sold in Denmark? Wholesalers must not receive or buy medicines from non-EU/EEA countries (third countries) nor handle intermediate products (laegemiddelstyrelsen.dk) -

Saved a Thai from being fined. Good or bad?
So, uhhh, a law intended to insure public safety can be ignored 'cause the police are big ol' meanies? That's mighty convenient. -

10,000 Baht Government Handout Celebration Turns Violent
Here in sth Surin you can't get near a bank today. Crowds outside every one, some 20 or so deep. For most of the local population, 10K in hand is more than they've seen in their whole life. And you have to search long & hard for an ATM with some cash in it. (Though succeeded on the 4th try.) No doubt some of the cash handout will be well spent, though even that will be all gone by the end of the week ... -

Chiang Mai Floods Prompt Urgent Response to Swollen Ping River
I understand the thinking of doing so but it will not happen as it would cost billions of baht from the hotels, restaurants, Wat along both sides of the river. Ask at Samsen Villa, Soi Ping Bar & Restaurant, Anatara Chiang Mai Resort, Wat Chai Mongkhon where they have the Ping River Cruises, Goodview ... what they think of the idea. -

Guys, do you cheat on your Thai wife/girlfriend?
In theory yes they would definitely be considered whores, but hookers is a term that's typically used for women. I don't like the term, I think it's rather gross. I think sex worker, professional, freelancer, anything like that is a more kind-hearted and less judgmental description. But, I get your point. -

Billie Eilish and Finneas Endorse Kamala Harris for President
Are there really that many of them? I find it hard to believe that there really are many of them out there, though they make enough noise to think there are more of them than the reality. -

Proposal Needed for Legal Revisions to Foreign Land Leases
Sounds like a state land grab to me. you can buy your land but if you want to lease it to the people who have cash to pay, then you give your land to the State. You may get your lease money. But will it cover cost of purchase and it’s new value in 99 years? As the land increases in value over 99 years, the state takes it and any builldings improvements on your land done by lessee. State land grab triggered by jingoism -

Two Women Arrested for Pawning Fake Gold Across Bangkok and Provinces
The only problem now is how to pin this crime on foreigners. We all know that Thai people would NEVER do this. 🤣 -

I was looking forward to reading your reply but alas you deleted the information. Am I correct on what I stated that Chiang Mai do not accept income and money in the bank combination? -

Wholesale Purchases of Consumer Goods in Thailand
Dear Forum Members I'm seeking advice on purchasing wholesale quantities of consumer goods in Thailand. Specifically, I'm interested in items like instant noodles, coffee, Knorr products, shampoo, and baby formula. Questions: Legal Considerations: Is it permissible for an individual with a DTV visa to purchase large quantities (50-100 cartons) of these items? Do I need any special permits or licenses? Best Wholesale Markets: Which cities or regions in Thailand offer the most competitive wholesale prices for these products? I'm open to relocating if necessary. Retail Options: Are the prices at Makro generally competitive for wholesale purchases? Are there other retailers or wholesalers that might offer better deals? Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
