Popular Post snoop1130 Posted January 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 4, 2023 Siam Rath reported on a woman given the ficticious name of Naen, 35, who went to social action group Sai Mai Tong Rort in northern Bangkok. Naen claimed that she had been asked by a friend named Jay Ying to attend a party with several men. She agreed to go and knew that the party would involve drug taking, that had happened before without a problem. But on this occasion she was given a white pill caled "Yaa Five" in Thai. She swallowed that and went to the lavatory and on emerging from the restroom took another; both pills were given to her by Jay Ying. After taking a sip of beer she passed out and woke up naked next to a naked man in a hotel bedroom. She had been talking to the man at the party. Naen thinks that she was drugged and raped in that it was without her knowing consent. She said she contacted her friend who said that if she has any gripe she should take it up with the man adding "he's loaded". Jay Ying was contacted over the phone by the press who said the claims were all nonsense. The couple had appeared close and they had gone together. She denied profiting from this in anyway and said if Naen wanted to press the matter she would see her in court. -- © Copyright ASEAN NOW 2023-01-04 - Cigna offers a range of visa-compliant plans that meet the minimum requirement of medical treatment, including COVID-19, up to THB 3m. She deliberately put herself in a dangerous situation, surely you can grasp that. I also never said the rape was justified. 10 3
soi3eddie Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 Is there a single mention of the police in this story? Most western countries the police would already have arrested any and all in the alleged rape. Did she even report it? No excuse for sex without consent, even if high on drugs or alcohol. 1

She can't remember, that happens when you are knowingly getting drunk / stoned. Why go to a party as entertainment girl and do drugs. Now she knows the guy is rich, she screams rape. 4 1

So you don't have an answer to the question and start insulting. What a nice person, preaching morals. What a joke. The girl already lied about the "drugged by a friend" part as she said she took 2 pills herself.

After all, I didn't give consent. In my early days in Bangkok I got quite drunk in a club in Silom Soi 4, two girls I met offered to help me keep drinking and we went to Ratchada where I bought a bottle of whisky and promptly fell asleep on a bar stool whilst they danced. Two hours later, they woke me up and sent me home in a taxi. No one tried to rob me, even though they had opportunity. I knew this was a town I could be happy and safe in. 1 1 4
Popular Post anterian Posted January 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 4, 2023 As she was unconscious how does she know rape took place, was there any physical evidence of sexual activity. she seemed unclear about this. 3

That really does make me feel better.

To think that it can't happen in Thailand is being totally naive.

The Thai police would consider her taking drugs as consent. Admission of taking drugs would probably get her 3-5 years in jail, so probably best she not shout about it too much. 1 1 1

Could she not be forensically examined to determine if she was actually raped or not? I would have thought that would have been the normal procedure in a case of drug induced memory loss such as this.
Popular Post cdemundo Posted January 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 4, 2023 Sometimes I have to remind myself that some folks here were born during the reign of Queen Victoria and quite naturally have dated ideas of morals, ethics and gender roles. They are not going to respond reasonably to a topic like this and although I find their ideas offensive, I need to understand they cannot be reasoned with or expected to change their minds. 2 1
Elkski Posted January 4, 2023 Posted January 4, 2023 I think it's best to wait for the facts to come out. If he is rich I'm sure his hotel has CCTV.
