Popular Post jcmj Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 Just like New Years cancellations. In one day, people canceled their plans and then after seeing the loss of income they decided to go ahead with it. All these numnuts are concerned about is money, and now they’re going to screw it up again and Hope the international tourists rebook even most now know things change here everyday. ???????? 5
Popular Post sqwakvfr Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 So what happens if a Chinese or any Tourist shows symptoms upon arrival? In S. Korea the government has been testing all arrivals from China and so far about 13% have tested positive. Of course all Chinese arrivals got negative PCR tests before their flights to S. Korea. 6 2

There's no way to know whether it will ever become reality. There's always a possibility that it will simply remain as a proposal. 1
Popular Post BKKBike09 Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 Doubtless like before it (proof of vaccination) will only apply to foreign visitors / residents, not to Thais coming back to Thailand. Which makes it all pretty pointless, especially if there's no requirement for vaccination to be no older than x months etc (not that I want to give them any ideas on that front). 5 2

Popular Post Photoguy21 Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 The way things change one day they want something the next day they dont, I would think many people will put Thailand on their own black list as you can never tell what is in effect from day to day. 3 2
Popular Post ThaiPauly Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 People are now canceling their holidays in the west because they are unvaccinated out of choice. Various websites have said that there could be as many as 20% of potential tourists canceling their trip. Although this is still only a proposal people ARE already canceling. This is a monumental cluster F*** by Anutin and his cronies IF it becomes law but the date is fast approaching so people are canceling now. Also two does of Chinese vaccines is nowhere near as comparable with Western Vaccines. Wake up Thailand before the country is brought to its knees with rampant Covid again 7 1
Popular Post sqwakvfr Posted January 7, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 7, 2023 On this slow Saturday I just thought “what vaccine did Xi Jingping get”? Recently I went to Singapore and SinoVac was a not an approved vaccine for entry. So for LOS any vaccine will be accepted? “Great countries are lead by great leaders who give careful thought before making decisions”. Of course as an American I no longer apply this saying for American Leaders. In essence the US Government is now a “clown show”. 3

Many of them already own apartments here in Thailand and other countries that they previously rented out through Airbnb. So they already have a base One would think that in the interest of safety, the current epidemic racing through the country and the huge numbers infected, China itself would understand the need for other countries to impose certain restrictions on it travelling citizens. Why the outrage? It's just what the CCP does. Even if it's the same as what China does (in this case requiring Vax proof) they still act outraged. They always play both the 'victim' and the 'bully' cards, sometimes simultaneously. To the CCP everything is war and everywhere a battlefield. It's their core philosophy. 3 1

I remember when the PM was supposed to make a public appearance for his shot of vax. He was to be the first recipient. But when he found out it was gonna get Sinovac he promptly cancelled and did the whole thing again once Astrozenica was available. You could not make this stuff up it's so farcical. So obviously the Chinese vaccine is useless by his own reluctance to take it. 1

Gknrd Posted January 7, 2023 Posted January 7, 2023 They can do what they want. I am out of here until the Chinese get it under control. And they don't have a vaccine that works. So what is the use of showing proof. 1

I was never asked for proof of vaccination when i came back to Thailand. I was only asked to show my vaccine certificate by the airlines when I checked in with Singapore Airlines and then Scoot Air. Does the vaccine certificate have to be in paper form? Or can it be on form just the record of jabs on Thai app.also does the certificate have to be in the language of the country you travel to or from... As it seems to me like the international driving permit is use less as it not on Thai only UK in my case... So how the thai going to read a certificate in English at immigration

Popular Post freedomnow Posted January 8, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 8, 2023 It's so achingly evident now how much Thai officialdom kisses the urse of China.....No wonder USA will only sell empty shell fighter jets to them. This would not have happened with any other country coming out of lockdown and descending on Thailand 2023. 2 1

JimTripper Posted January 8, 2023 Posted January 8, 2023 I don’t think this is going away. Feels like the vaccine requirement will become more strict from here in various ways. People may need it to travel around, that and some form of digital id or facial recognition on your phone.
sqwakvfr Posted January 9, 2023 Posted January 9, 2023 I am now even more confused more than normal. This is as of 1500 local time: Thailand on Monday rescinded a policy announced at the weekend requiring visitors to show proof of COVID-19 vaccination, its health minister said, citing sufficient immunisation levels in China and globally. I was hoping for a consistent and clear policy? 2

This latest flip-flop was due to them suddenly twigging they had locked out all unvaccinated, so they come up with "They can come now, but will require testing on arrival" With no details re a positive test. Which then changed to "spot checks on arrival" which means they have a good chance of getting away with no checks whatsoever. 1
