Does anyone has experience with Air Asia domestic flights? are they on time or I better choose another flight? I will have only carry on luggage, and layover is at Don Muang airport

Other thread says "visa run".

But your question seems about domestic flights Udon Thani -> Don Mueang -> Surat Thani with a one hour layover at Don Mueang?

Lately they've been horrible and there is absolutely no customer service,  none. 

 

You're better of booking with Thai Smile if possible.
