good pocket wifi in thailand

Featured Replies

The mobile phone in your pocket is the best option for occasional or semi frequent use when hotel WiFi is not good enough. All smartphones these days can be used as a hot spot when needed and use your phone's data connection.

If you need a more permanent solution then there are 4G routers available. Many have Lan ports, vpn support and other features. There are other threads on the forum debating those.

You can buy a Cat.6 ‘Pocket WiFi’ from around 1300 baht.(ZTE MF971VS) That includes the unlocking fee to open it to all networks.
Alternatively, you can buy a fixed point Cat.4 router for around the same, such as the TP Link MR100.

Of course you will need a suitable mobile data plan to go with that. You’ll need to check which network works best at your hotel.
