Daily News Thai Caption: Corruption revealed

Daily News reported on allegations of corruption at a squadron in the south of Thailand that is part of the Royal Thai Air Force.

The claims were made by the page that translates as "Guard Dog Action".

It concerns activities at Squadron 702, Wing 7 in Surat Thani.

It is claimed that in November of last year 50 people received 2,200 baht in overtime payments for training flights.

But the flights never took place.

Perhaps conveniently it involved flights that were supposed to have taken place at night.

How strange...payments for work not done:)))

But then again....how many "ghosts" are there in the military forces?...How much goes out in salaries to non existent service people?

Due to lack of maintenance, the aircraft operated by the RTAF are probably not actually airworthy, so it is safer this way for all concerned....

Payment received for OT not actually worked, how about salaries received for work not done during normal hours?

That's perfect example of why they don't want any foreigner's taking Thai jobs ????

What? Call that corruption? A bit of spurious overtime payment. Is that the best that you can do? There are many organisations in Thailand that could teach the Airforce what real corruption is.
