Why and where would NATO be trying to start a war in Europe?

You may have missed the one in Ukraine that is already running and that was started by Putin and Russia.

You would have to ask the Globalists that.

As far as I'm concerned if they killed each other down to the last man it would be good for the world.

I'm asking you why some, on more salary than us, are struggling when my wife and I are not.

Because of the economic crisis.

I have answered three times now.

Time for a new question if you wish to continue this...

So, there is an economic crisis. Got that.

However, not everyone is struggling.

There are those that are and earn more that my wife and I, who are not struggling.

The only difference I can see that would cause those who struggle to do so would be lifestyle choices. You said that was rubbish.

So, why do you think some struggle  when their salaries are equal to or more than those who are doing OK?

That you can’t get past your ‘I’m all right Jack’ mindset doesn’t provide any insights into the causes of poverty in the UK.

It might, for example, occur to you that very many people have incomes lower than yours.

Millions of people in the UK can’t afford to eat regular meals, it has nothing at all to do with your income or your need to preen yourself.

Please post links to the income bands you are referring to.

Include all and any relevant information regarding regional/national living costs, including local taxes, rental costs/house prices, energy costs linked to environmental conditions and any other costs.

I've already posted my personal information. That was yo compare with thr professionals you spoke about

You're clutching at straws and refusing to back your original comment. Failing to answer straight questions with straight answers.

You and one other poster have a habit of doing this when on the back foot.

Your refusal to answer speaks loud and is an answer in itself. Thanks for that.

A: I did answer your question.

B: I didn’t ask for your personal information, I asked for precise and accurate information on those you claim are struggling despite allegedly earning more than you.

C I have not mentioned any professions in any of my posts.

You claimed they are struggling. Not me.

Exaggeration from the Guardian, they never seem to cover the millions spent everyday putting up illegal immigrants in hotels. That would pay for a few million meals for these hungry Brits. The Guardian seems to print in poverty porn.

'....prices in the UK are....higher than the UK.

Interesting, but confusing.

Indeed, my bad.

I was pointing out the nonsense of comparing prices from Thailand with those on the UK when the topic of discussion is the UK.

Others were confused and thought Thailand prices were somehow applicable.

Thanks for pointing out my error.

This is an open thread.

There’s a PM function for private conversations.

I've never suggested it isn't.

However, when I'm talking about those who earn more than me it's a good idea not to suggest I'm unaware that some earn less when I never have stated such.

Join in by all means. Just try to keep up.

It's a good thing energy costs haven't skyrocketed in the UK. Because in that unlikely event, people might have to choice between death by exposure or death by starvation.

Heat or eat is the UK's latest 3 word political strap line.

The responses in this thread are absolutely disgusting.

A bunch of pompous old out of touch retirees making totally incorrect assumptions about the kind of people that are using these services because they can't be bothered to do the slightest bit of research.

No, this is not limited to "people with tattoos", and it's not a case of a few chubbas not being able to afford an ice cream after their McDonalds.

We're not talking about uneducated, unskilled workers struggling a bit.

We're talking about families of paid professionals; teachers, nurses, police and firefighters. People who have studied hard, invested time and money in their education and career so that they could avoid situations like this. Yet for the last 10 years they've had governments impose real-term pay cuts and now with interest rates rising and inflation raging at double-digit levels they are left without enough money to feed and/or heat themselves and thier families.

Show a bit of deleted compassion.

And yes those same people are probable up to their eye's in debt with credit cards, people nowadays what everything ,and just put it down on plastic ,and now that is coming back to bite them in the rear.

Look at the UK debt to GDP, at the end of Q2 April -June 2022 101.9% of GDP.

I know a few pensioners back in the UK, no income beyond state pension.

They're doing OK, so I can't see how 'professionals' aren't coping.

Probably poor money management skills.

Back to the OP,

"Case study: Victoria
Breakfasts are a luxury, weekday lunches largely a thing of the past. There are no food treats any more, no desserts or cake. For Victoria, a single mother on a low income, this denial of her own food needs has one purpose: to ensure her two primary school age children never go hungry."

Not much sympathy, she chose to be a single mother with 2 kids.

The UK is full of desperate single guys that would like some company.

Pensioners also receive welfare supplements to their income, by example; help with housing costs, additional winter fuel allowances, free bus passes, free TV licenses, free prescriptions, attendance allowances, mobility allowances.

Pensioners are well cared for in the UK.

Nothing like a gross generalization to prop up negative views of others.
