It's all about the odds. And the odds are based on past form.

Yes, that goes for anyone, even yourself....:cowboy:

This thread is largely a waste of space, since there is  zero probability that Putin's invasion depended, for good or ill, on a conversation with the former Mayor of London.

What the thread is omitting is Biden's (rather dementia-inspired) remark about an "incursion" being acceptable (with, presumably, the unspoken thought that maybe an "invasion" might be a missile or two too far).

Boris Johnson has claimed Vladimir Putin told him he could kill him with a missile, in a call ahead of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

The former prime minister said the Russian President remarked: “I don’t want to hurt you, but with a missile, it would only take a minute.”

Mr Johnson said the “extraordinary” conversation took place in February after he had visited Kyiv in a last-ditch attempt to show Western support for Ukraine amid growing fears of a Russian assault.

However the Kremlin has insisted that the reports of Putin's comments to Mr Johnson are a "lie."

I reckon everything from Russia is a lie, nobody can dispute that....:cowboy:

Yes, except that he took until now to publicly report this threat.

No need to report anything to the public.

Then why do it now? My point was if he was going to make hat out of this he should have done it when it mattered.

Perhaps at the time he was being prudent....:cowboy:

How long the world had to wait to know that Gordon Brown had to sit in Kremlin on a chair lower than the others ? How considerate by him that for the long years he had not wanted to say something unpleasant for Russia...

Not like this

And keep in mind that his lies didn't begin with his political career. He was sacked from The Times for a made-up quote.

And there's this from his classics master at Eton:

"Boris really has adopted a disgracefully cavalier attitude to his classical studies.

"[He] sometimes seems affronted when criticised for what amounts to a gross failure of responsibility (and surprised at the same time that he was not appointed Captain of the school for the next half).

"I think he honestly believes that it is churlish of us not to regard him as an exception, one who should be free of the network of obligation that binds everyone else."

He hasn't changed a whit.

Sorry, off topic, but this does remind me of an Eton report card about Anthony

Armstrong Jones, later Lord Snowdon, and a little bit later, husband of Princess Margaret.

The form master wrote: "He may be good at some subject, but it is not a subject we teach here."

Quite a blatant assertion... What planet do you live on where for decades the world population is daily bombarded by lies, deception and destruction? But not from the Russian side.

Well, the Russians seem to be winning a war, according to them....:whistling:

Identify something of substance in this and I'll bet back to you:
