Sanook Thai Cap: Khao Yai pool villa booking con

Sanook reported that a Facebook page opened by criminals advertising pool villas in Khao Yai had conned many tourists into parting with money.

The page contained many nice looking pool villas in the Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima area of central Thailand but social media reports said many people had lost money after transfers were made.

Sanook contacted three police stations in the area but none had received a complaint about the con.

Chief of the Nong Sarai police Pol Col Thitiphat Unwetwanich noted that police reports may have been filed elsewhere.

He said that victims could file a report at any police station or use the thaipolice.com website to get the criminals' site taken down in an expedient manner and initiate an investigation.

Common all over the world, especially when using Meta's social platforms which are full of scammers and con artists masquerading as everything under the sun.

Very true. It is the hub of scams on social media. Once I complained about being scammed and in the process used a few derogatory words against a Chinese online vendor and they banned me for a week instead of taking the ad down. It is all about money for Meta / Facebook.

Facebook/Meta is a place infested with scammers and even chsing to add someone as a friend need to be done with a lot of caution.

Facebook/Meta should be banned by the governments until they CLEAN their act.

Reporting someone or Blocking someone is only done for your account, not for other users.
And even after Blocking, the user is still listed in your account, but you can not see who they are.
Example: I have about 10 people sending me a "Like" on a post, but if I hover that "Like" nobody is listed.

TIME to act for the Governments.

are you saying there are scams in Thailand, really .... 555
