That Rath reported on a case of kindness shown by a couple in Phangnga province, southern Thailand, to a man out of prison after serving time for drugs.

Samruay took Rang home taking pity because he had a ten year old daughter and gave them a room.

But he repaid that kindness ten days later by murdering Samruay's wife and making off with 24,000 baht. He was soon caught after fleeing to Nakhon Sri Thammarat on a motorcycle with side car attachment.

Earlier Ratree Normbunleu, 58, had been found dead by her husband face down in a bedroom at their house in Bang Naisee sub-district. Blood was coming from facial wounds. She was tied with a cloth.

The previous evening Samruay, Ratree and Udomsak "Rang" Lohanarai, 44, had set off with Rang's daughter to collect second hand items in the village of Ban Nam Khem ten kilometers away.

But the pick-up they were in developed a dead battery and Rang offered to walk back home and get the motorcycle and pick them up later.

When he returned Rang took Ratree and his daughter back and Samruay stayed with the Toyota.

But Rang didn't return again so the husband slept with the vehicle before walking home in the morning.

There he made the grisly discovery of the death of his wife.

Police examined CCTV and saw Rang with his daughter leaving in the night.

Pol Col Jessada Janphum, chief of the Takua Pa police said that work with the provincial police and liaison with the force in Tha Sala district of Nakhon Sri Thammarat resulted in the suspect's arrest and return to Phangnga.

Samruay has said that the suspect knew full well that his wife had taken out a 60,000 baht loan and was in possession of money.

He had taken pity on him and now the ex-con repaid him thus.

I hope he pays the full price for his evil deeds.

I feel very sorry for the 10-year-old daughter. On the other hand, she will probably be much better off without that POS father in her life. Hope she will find a place to stay and grow up in peace.
