Golf Course Recommendation

Featured Replies

I'm sometimes in the position where I need to take a guest for a round of golf here. I always try to take them to a course that encapsulates the tropical golf experience well, in contrast to European courses. Things I look for include tropical vegitation, plenty of water hazards, good course maintenance, good service/facilities and a reasonable price. I generally end up at Subphapruek, but they practise double-pricing.

Any other suggestions? Mon-Fri? Weekends?

For a weekend of golf go to Hua Hin. Many courses available as well as most any Thai activities including a beach. Guest houses are affordable enough and a ride to and from the course is always available. I've played several courses in that area with Springfield being one of my favorite. If you want to stay a little closer to BKK, stay at Royal Diamond hotel in Phetchaburi and play Sawang Golf club and Kaeng Krachon golf course. Even more closer is a couple courses in Ratchaburi which are well priced but perhaps less groomed.

Many choices.

You might try Laem Chabang. Beautiful Jack Nicklaus design but a little pricey for the area.
