Thai anti-human trafficking police have arrested two men for allegedly luring young boys into making pornographic content, which was allegedly distributed to customers via a Line group for a fee.

According to the police, the two suspects, 20-year-old “Lakkhana” and 19-year-old “Netnapa”, also had more than 260,000 and over 100,000 Twitter followers respectively.

Police allege that the two would release porn videos and audio teasers via their accounts, with an invitation for those who are interested in viewing the full videos to join their exclusive Line group for a membership fee of 399 baht.

Are 20-year-old “Lakkhana” and 19-year-old “Netnapa” men?  Maybe I'm not woke enough, but those two folks with blurred faces like like women – who are they and what's their connection to the story?

Thai police arrest two transgender women on child pornography charges

By Peter Roche

Two transgender women have been arrested on charges of luring school boys into performing sex acts, which the suspects allegedly ‘filmed’ and ‘sold’ on Twitter. According to a Coconuts report, 4 schoolboys are known to have been coerced into sex acts by the pair, who were later arrested by officers from the anti-human trafficking division.

It’s understood the suspects, who have been named as 20 year old Lakhana “Sorfo” and 19 year old Netnapha “Kae” both had Twitter accounts with a substantial number of followers. They used their accounts to distribute clips of young boys, thought to be around 11 or 12 years old, engaging in sex acts with the suspects.

Lakhana, who was arrested in the eastern province of Chon Buri, had a Twitter account with 260,000 followers, while Netnapha, who was arrested in the north-eastern province of Khon Kaen, had 100,000 Twitter followers.

According to the report, the pair used their accounts to distribute “previews” of their videos and would charge followers 350 baht to join a Line group where they could view the content in full. Unfortunately for them, undercover police officers managed to infiltrate the group.

Twitter has come under fire since its new owner, Elon Musk, recently took over the social media platform, firing thousands of employees in the process. The move has left the platform unable to detect and remove material such as child pornography, along with a flood of disinformation being disseminated.

A recent New York Times review reveals that child pornography is now widely circulated on Twitter, with employees who were the most experienced at detecting and handling such content no longer working at the company.

Meanwhile, it’s understood the two suspects in this case were brought before the Criminal Court yesterday. The 4 boys are reported to be receiving counselling and other psychological support. Thailand has very severe penalties for trafficking, child pornogrpahy and sexual assault cases.

Quick fix for this type of behavior. Have the fools castrated on national TV and let the world know that this will be the MINIMUM sentence for anyone who exploits children.

You may find that that would be a desired outcome for them, having their bits off, would save them paying on the outside

I noticed the same thing, and presumed that meant -- although the article didn't say so -- that the two suspects are in fact ladyboys???

I think, and my wife confirms, that the two names given for the suspects would generally be considered Thai women's names.

The whole thing sounds quite a bit like a (wrong side of the tracks) Thai ladyboy caper.

I very much doubt whether Musk allowed this on his platform .

The news story states clips were on twitter, I think it is much more likely Musk allowed that than the Brit hero of the Thai football team lost in a cave rescue messed with kids because he lived in Thailand

Expats who live in Thailand are not automatically child abusers either. if Musk can throw that term around without foundation he can wear it too.
