Introduction to Personal Income Tax in Thailand
I had something similar to fill in earlier this year wity two different Canadian financial institutions. I simply replied with the truth in the form that they had me fill out (which they accepted), which was my Pink-ID # (same number is on the Yellow Book) might become my Tax-ID, with the written caveat that my Thai TIN is not yet activated (there is lots of room in the form to succinctly add that detail). I confirmed that information PRIOR with a phone chat with the Thailand Revenue Department (Phuket branch) who noted I did not qualify for a Thai TIN (despite my spending >180 days/year in Thailand as I was not bringing money into Thailand and because I had no Thai income). The RD official advised that my Pink-ID # "might" become my 'online Thai tax-ID' ONLY AFTER it was activated as such. But the Phuket branch RD official advised I did not qualify for such a Thai TIN to be activated at present time. This is all 100% legal and it is the truth. The two Canadian financial institutions were more than happy to receive that information. -

Day-to-day life in Myanmar
Many thanks for posting your photo - very interesting. During my travels around Burma, I saw many old vehicles which these days would be regarded as "classic" and would fetch "a bomb" back home in the UK. My photo below shows an old Dennis Brothers fire engine, converted into a water carrier, that was built around 80 years ago at the start of WW11 or just before, at Guildford in Surrey (UK). It was located just down the road from my hotel, near a fire station, and its Burmese driver and his family lived alongside in a tented shanty. -

Daring Rescue Frees Dog Wedged Between Power Poles in East Pattaya
East Pattaya is resonating with community spirit today after a perilous live dog rescue. The canine reportedly got wedged between two enormous concrete power poles in Pong Sub-district's Soi Ban Nong Hiang region on Saturday, November 23rd. Members of the Sawang Boriboon Rescue Centre received the distress call and raced against time to the dog's aid. On reaching the sight, the rescue team found an already formed crowd of concerned local residents surrounding the captive two-year-old male dog. Visibly fatigued, the poor animal could not get himself free from the overwhelming high-voltage power poles trapping him. Initial attempts at a manual rescue were in vain, forcing the team to step up their rescue efforts. Nongprue municipality staff then made the pivotal decision to deploy a crane from their heavy-duty fleet. Expertly operated, it managed to shift one of the enormous poles, relieving the distressed dog of his concrete bonds. Sukanya Ngernpiem, among the first to arrive, saw the dog's predicament on a viral social media post. Her swift intervention alongside others in alerting the rescue team undeniably played a crucial role in the positive outcome. The Sawang Boriboon team immediately ferried the dog to safety following his daring rescue. He is currently cared for in a local shelter while finding him a suitable adoption family is underway. This daring dog rescue highlights the extraordinary extents ordinary people and communities will go to help distressed animals.
