The face of a killer: Thai media publishes picture of former Tap Lan park worker who shot 3 dead in Phetchaburi

Thai Rath reported from Krung Petch Villa, Soi 4, where a man called Anuwat Waenthong, 30, shot three and injured 3 in a 15 hour standoff between Wednesday and the early hours of Thursday morning.

It was where he was born.

The house in Phetchaburi province was still sealed off by Muang district police at 10.20 am yesterday with forensics arriving and reporters waiting for news.

Ten members of the local mental health departments were on hand helping distraught neighbors cope with the tragedy.

The media described a picture of the dead body of the shooter after he was judicially shot by police.

He was wearing black jeans and a navy blue top with "Smart Patrol" in English on the back; presumably this was a shirt from his time as an employee at the Tap Lan national park.

He was face down, covered in blood and had a tattoo on his left arm. His right hand was still clutching a magazine containing ammunition.

Close to the body was the Glock 19 he had used to take shots at his neighbors, a book of prayers and a glass.

The media had a picture of Anuwat with a rifle at Tap Lan.

Surely that should be 'Samart', as in the immigration Samart cars.

How did he injure the three that he didn't shoot?  Or do they mean shot 6, killed 3 and injured 3?

Such bad reporting.

I'm keeping a glass eye on this one for any relevance ????
