Italian businessman killed as motorcycle taxi collides with forklift

An Italian man tragically died this morning after he was impaled by a forklift in Samut Prakan province, just south of Bangkok in central Thailand, near the factory where he worked as sales manager. He was riding a motorbike taxi when the incident happened.

FOLLOWING the interrogation of around a hundred Myanmar people found residing in buildings at a commercial complex in Mae Sot Amnesty International today (Mar. 24) urged the Thai government to not deport them as they face imprisonment, torture or execution on the orders of the Myanmar junta, Matichon newspaper said.

Three new monkeypox cases were found in Thailand between March 13th and 23rd, bringing the number of cases to 18 since last year.

10 trains will be added to North and Northeast routes for Songkran, railway agency says

Fear-mongering, fake news and disinformation being stoked in China against visiting Thailand

A negative and ignorant campaign has gone viral on Chinese social media sites this week warning off people holidaying or travelling to Thailand by raising fears of kidnapping, extortion and even outlandish claims raising proven fake news reports about organ harvesting at the hands of criminal gangs. Counter efforts undertaken by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports in Bangkok led to the Director-general of the Department of Tourism Mr Chaturon Phakdeewanich (right) reaching out to Chinese officials and a statement being issued by the Thai Embassy in Beijing on the blogging site Weibo.


Thai officials through the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing were forced this week to issue a reassurance to potential Chinese visitors to the country regarding their safety and security following a damaging viral campaign which reached millions of online readers

30 students at a school near Kabin Buri’s foundry fall ill

About 30 students at a school within three kilometres of the foundry where a metallic cylinder, containing caesium-137, is thought to have been melted down, have fallen sick, most of them have with a high fever, cough and runny nose, as the radiation scare intensifies.
